Description:
1st Model 1873 Winchester Saddle Ring Carbine serial number 13,300. 20" barrel and full magazine tube. .44-40 caliber. Great barrel markings and correct original front and rear sights. Very nice bore, I will rate it an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. Action functions smoothly. Original dust cover still present. Overal finish is a gray / brown patina with original blue finish in protected areas. Upper tang has a rack number of 27, not sure what it stands for? Carbine buttplate is the original thick toe style which is correct for the early 1st Model SRC's. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition showing normal handling marks that you would expect to see from a gun of this vintage. There is a small hole on the bottom of buttstock that appears to have been for a sling years ago. Everyone knows how rare and hard to find 1st Model 1873 Carbines are to locate, so don't miss your opportunity. Please feel free to ask questions. Antique and can be shipped directly to your doorsteps.
