This is a beautiful, upgraded, museum quality, Historic Arms Mk I Bren, semi auto recreation. Len Savage does some beautiful work. Gun shows like a new Bren, off the factory line, in 1943. These are made right here in Franklin Georgia. This particular build was with an Australian receiver by Lithgow, 1943. It is an absolutely amazing example of a seldom seen firearm here in the US. Brens were made in England, Australia and Canada during WWII. It was one of the mainstay weapons of British Forces throughout the world as they sought to protect their empire. It is in classic British .303 and runs very well. This offering has several options.
The Base Option ( or Option 1) will contain the gun itself, with upgraded, NEW, buttstock, pistol grip and barrel carry handle. It will also come with 4 very nice 30 round, .303 magazines. Also included will be 4 boxes of modern manufactured .303 British ammunition. 40 rounds of Wolff, copper washed steel casings and 40 rounds of PPU brass cased. Both work well in this rifle with one consideration. You must oil the cases with a spray lube oil before loading and firing. Then they run 100%. .303 Surplus ammo runs with no lubrication. Commercial cases have a much thinnerat the base of the case. I found a reproduction butt handle, so will include that with Option 1. It is in like new condition, with beautiful wood handle.
Option 2 will include all of Option 1 AND a Carry Box of 12 surplus, .303 Bren gun magazines. These show lots of finish wear, but have no major defects or ill feeding effects. It also includes a very nice Mk II barrel with gas regulator and nice condition overall. This barrel headspace’s within tolerances to this receiver and bolt. And the third item in Option 2 is a sealed case of 288 rounds of British surplus Mk 7 .303 Vickers, Bren and Lee Enfield ammunition. Dated 1952. The Mk 7 loading is considered a top performing round in the .303 surplus realm.
I have run this similar ammo, from various manufacturers and dates ( all the way back to 1942) with no real issue other than cracked case necks. It has been 100% reliable. BUT, the gun should be cleaned as with any corrosive ammunition AND, the cases should not be considered reloadable...

I have transit box, additional carry boxes of mags, slings, pouches, spare parts, tools, etc. Also have very high quality MEN .303 ammunition ( this is top notch German produced, modern, military spec ammo that is non-corrosive, sure firing, runs this Bren like a sewing machine, reloadable cased, super ammo made in the 1980s and 90s). Believe about 600 rounds of it. Maybe a bit more. Gotta dig it out to confirm. One additional case of .303 Ball, Mk 7 CTN, various small lot boxes of military .303 ammo and MkIII, shortened and lightened Bren barrels (2), both headspace within spec on this rifle. I will not part out any accessories before sale of the gun. Buyer gets first right of refusal. I have been collecting Bren related items for years.

If you made it all the way down to this point, you have some interest in a semi auto Bren gun. A lot of history in this weapon. I will entertain some trade items. Here is a partial list. Feel free to offer something you think would be of interest and value. I am looking for a Gideon Shadow in 10mm ( .40 accepted as an approximate comparable). Never should have sold the one I had!! An MKE Z43P, a Brownell's BRN-10A Retro rifle, a Brownell's XBRN-16E1 Retro rifle, a well running Galil model (Hillbilly Firearms seem to be the best all round quality and price), a Microtech STG556 in green or tan. High quality 1911’s (soft spot for .38 Super), Beretta 92X Professional, Century Arms AP5, Turkish made MP5 clone ( full size only). That’s about it. Some optics considered. Like a TA31 ACOG ( or whatever the version is for the full size rifle?) Good LPVO. Gold and silver, but must be certified.
