*** SOLD *** Handsome, rare, and collectible Ruger Gold Label side-by-side in original box with highly figured American black walnut pistol grip stock and splinter forearm. The exclusive Ruger logo is inlaid in gold on the forearm, bottom of the action, and on the pistol grip cap. It has a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, and auto safety. Ruger did not make many of this great handling double and this one is in great mechanical and cosmetic condition. Weighs 6lb 12oz which makes it an easy gun to carry for a day afield. *** This Gold Label has 28” barrels chambered for 3” and 2-3/4” shotshells. It is topped by a raised solid tapered crosshatched rib with a gold bead front sight. It is factory overbored at 0.745” in both barrels which makes it a comfortable gun to shoot by reducing felt recoil. Comes with wrench and 5 factory Gold Label choke tubes which are: 2-Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full choke. *** The pistol grip stock and splinter forearm are made of highly figured American black walnut. The checkering is like-new and the pistol grip cap has a gold inlaid Ruger logo. Stock dimensions are 14-3/8” including a thin factory Ruger logo buttplate by 1-1/2” by 2-3/8”. Neutral cast. Note that the single selective trigger is set well to the rear to accommodate gloved hands therefore producing effectively a longer length of pull. *** This is a well balanced side-by-side shotgun made by one of America’s most innovative gunmakers renowned for their high quality. It handles great and it looks great. Ruger Gold Labels are no longer being produced so given its condition it is of great interest to collectors as well as shooters. It also sports a more highly figured piece of wood than most I have seen. Better move on this before it’s gone. *** Please note that the photographs are part of the description.
