Sold pnding Funds Shiloh Sharps 1874 rifle in mint condition in 40-65 Winchester. 30-inch half round, half octagon barrel that measures 1” at the muzzle. MVA #113 spirit level front sight. Vernier tang rear sight with 2 1/2 inches of elevation. Very pretty semi fancy stock with cheekpiece, pistol grip and pewter forearm tip. Rifle weights11 pounds 12 ounces. The rifle is in new condition with the exception of a very small ding on the left lower corner of the pistol grip which is pictured. There are no other blemishes on the rifle. The bore in perfect. The wood to metal fit on this rifle is incredible. The fit is as good as that of the pewter forearm tip which is poured. I have fired less than a box of factory smokeless ammunition through it. I doubt the previous owner shot it much if at all.
Price is $2900 shipped and insured to the lower 48.
I should add that this rifle will be shipped in a custom plywood box made for that purpose. It's way too heavy and nice to be stuffed in a cardboard container.
