This rare variation of a model 39 .22 and unique Marlin celebrated Marlin's 100th yr anniverary, Sadly this is another fine old company once just a short distance from us is no longer in existance.
This gun came to us in trade from a close friend; it is unfired in the correct original handsome box with the most miinor evidence of being handled and by any account is in 99% condition

Beautifuly executed, with deluxe checkering on nicely figured American Walnut stocks. Engraved receiver with a gold image of John Marlin on one side and a coyote or wolf on the other. Distinguished by the classic (these were special order features in early Marlins and Winchesters) half round and half octagon barrel.
Priced consideralbly under what others like it are selling for.
This was a limmited production gun, it is believed that only 2500 were made some 25 yrs ago...how many are left like this one still niew and unfired with original papers in the box?
