BROWNING .50 CALIBER MOUNTAIN RIFLE - REDUCED!
This is a classic, well preserved .50 caliber cap lock muzzle loading “Jonathon Browning Mountain Rifle’. These rifles have been out of production since the early 1980s and were made by Browning. It is a high quality American made rifle with browned iron furniture, a pewter nose cap and a walnut half stock with two wedges. It has a 30 inch barrel that measures 1 inch across the flats at the muzzle. It is factory fitted with a chamfered muzzle, making the ball an easy thumb start. The rifle has a front bead hunting sight installed, along with a rear tang peep sight and factory rear buckhorn barrel sight. In addition, the rifle has been converted to use a 210 shotgun primer ignition system, insuring a hot primer for reliable ignition in cold/wet weather conditions. It has a factory single set trigger and a ram's horn image on the bolster. It is a robust rifle and it is very easy to clean to barrel, a fine hunting rifle. Twist is the standard 1:66 twist for all .45, .50 and .54 caliber round ball Browning Mountain Rifles. Included is a leather sling, a flexible plastic ramrod, bore brushes and my .50 caliber cleaning jags.
