SOLD TO MR. BILL G. Winchester Model 70. SN# 15730. Up for sale is a Winchester Model 70 made in 1938. The cartridge chambering as listed on the barrel is .30 GOVT 06. This rifle has seen some hunting use in the 85 years since leaving the Winchester factory. There is some finish wear on the rear of the stock. The rear sight slot has been plugged and the rear of the action bridge has one hole drilled for a scope mount. The chamber is clean and the barrel rifling looks very sharp. This would make someone a solid hunting rifle with added feature of knowing this is a Model 70 produced in the third year of Winchester's production. Please add 45.00 freight and insurance.
