With its controlled round feed mechanism, quality of manufacture and elegant simplicity, the Model 70 has forged a place in American culture earning the epithet “ The Rifleman’s Rifle”, it is the standard against which all other bolt actions are judged. This 2002 manufactured example, snG365105 epitomizes the elegance of a classic Supergrade Grade 3 Winchester Model 70. Built in Winchesters custom shop it is supplied with a factory letter. The walnut stock features excellent grain with strong fiddleback evident on the belly, it has hand cut checkering, a capped pistol grip, and an ebony forend. Its classic profile continues with a cheek piece with shadow-line detail, and all finished with a Winchester black rubber recoil pad. The 26” featherweight barrel, action, and trigger show 99%+ Factory original bluing and a perfect bore. There are no sights on the gun to mar its elegant profile, it’s just waiting for you to add your favorite scope! With a jeweled bolt offering controlled feed and chambered in the .338 Winchester Magnum cartridge this rifle is ready for some serious game!
