This Parker PHE, 16ga PHE in 95%+ condition and was delivered in 1923. Is a Presentstion Parker. Gun will letter to factory records. All features on this Parker are amazing and shows as near new. The wood is grade 4 with highlights of Feather crotch and highly grained with colors. The wood to metal fit is simply impeccable. This Parker in our opinion has seen very little use as an older high quality restoration that resembles works of Doug Turnbull. The buttstock has a factory shield in gold that is engraved. The shield pictured shows engraved name (WW BACON) Walter Wolfkiel Bacon. He was the Governor of Delaware from 1941-1949, during the difficult period of WWII. Gov. Bacon was instrumental in devising a mission to provide key alliances with various branches of the US Military in support of strategic methods to help the returning Soldiers safely back home as the war ended. This gun was simply used as a token and presentation of gun to thank Gov Bacon about 1946 or 1947 for his service and Actions.
