Coming from who I consider one of the masters of the Pre 64 model 70's and a wonderful guy to talk to, Dave Morris in Alaska. Very clean, and highly desirable 270 FWT with the much preferred aluminum buttplate. 1955, with matching scribed bolt S/N 342***. Excellent bore and mechanical functions. These Pre 64 Model 70's in 270 caliber are getting harder and harder to find. Winchester didn't make as many in 270 as they did in 30-06. This rifle is in great shape, with no alterations, and just a few light scattered marks, impressions, and scuffs here and there. Some of the nicer, finer grained wood I've seen in the FWT configuration. This rifle has been rated 96-97% overall by two different experts on the matter. Set up to hunt, although never shot, not once since being purchased. Scope and mounts not included, will be removed, inquire if interested in those. $2199.
