Description: This Smith & Wesson Model 1 3rd Issue tip-up revolver in .22 black powder short rim fire is in good condition. The blued barrel, cylinder and frame are good, with finish missing on the barrel and cylinder. The patina showing is correct for this 153-year-old revolver. This example was manufactured in 1870. The blued 3 3/16" barrel is very good with clear rifling in its bore. The single action trigger is firm with a crisp release. The smooth dark walnut grips are excellent. This is quite a nice revolver for its age and conversation quality. This Smith & Wesson Model 1 comes with a factory letter from the Smith & Wesson historian, Roy Jinks. .22 Short SOLD Antique: Yes Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Excellent Bore Condition: Very Good Barrels: 3 3/16 Triggers: Blued S/A Lever Stock Dimensions: LOP 2 1/2" Height 3 1/2" Length 6 1/2 Weight: 8 oz.
