Lockplate is marked "P. P. Irving/ Warranted". Barrel and lock have been lightly cleaned ages ago and are now a silvery color. Trigger guard and nose cap are brass. Maple stock is in good condition with a bulb style grip and just a few handling mars. This flintlock was in the William Locke Collection and is pictured in S.E. Dyke's "Thoughts on The American Flintlock Pistol". Lock seems to function well. This is a great piece that will fit nice into to any Antique American Arms collection.
