Exceptionally rare Special Order presentation Parker AAHE 12ga made for famed Washington, DC retailer William Wagner. Gun is one of less than a handful of original Parker Bros. Guns with original rib inscriptions for the original owner. Rib is inscribed "Pigeon Gun. Parker Bros. Makers. Meriden, Conn. Whitworth Steel. Mfgd. for Wm. Wagner 1899". Gun made with 30" Whitworth fluid steel barrels, splinter forend, double triggers, and auto ejectors. Gun is beautifully engraved in very fine floral scroll pattern as seen in the photos. Stocked in a stellar piece of lightly fiddle back and marble cake figured European Walnut which terminates with its original (and very rare) checkered butt. Gun with original 2-7/8" chambers! Very rare!!
Gun remains in excellent condition. Barrels have been expertly reblued. Frame with traces of original case color, engraving remains mostly crisp. Buttstock and forend are excellent and sound with finish added for preservation. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are excellent.
This is a really rare and important Parker shotgun that deserves a spot in a distinguished Parker Collection. The gun should be celebrated! It is offered at $27,500 plus shipping to your FFL.
