Presented here is a beautiful and elegant P. Webley & Sons sidelock double barrel shotgun in 12 gauge. This handsome gun was made in 1890-95 and rebarreled by Westley Richards in 1926. The 30 inch barrels are choked fixed improved cylinder and have a very nice bore. The chambers accept 2 1/2 inch shells. The wood is truly beautiful with nicely cut checkering. The gun has light handling, use and storage marks. The metal is attractively engraved and the fences are carved very nicely. The length of pull to the front trigger is 14 3/8 inches and 13 1/2 to the rear. Drop at heel is 2 1/4 inches and drop at comb is 1 3/4 inches. The stock is straight english style and the forend is splinter. This gun would be quite at home in a collection of fine english doubles or a cost effective way to start a new collection.
