SOLD TO MR. BILL G Winchester Model 70. SN# 434982. Up for sale is a very clean Winchester Model 70 chambered in .30/06 and produced in 1957. I took this rifle in on trade in 1984 and I have never fired it. The previous owner had used it for some tatget shooting while he was enlisted in the local National Guard rifle team. At the time of the trade, his log book indicated that 426 rounds have been fired thru this Winchester Model 70. The rifle is equipped with a Lyman 48 WJS sight. The sight base is rounded on the back so that curve fits around the stock. There is some relief in the wood for the adjustment screw. I have installed the original adjustable rear sight and the front sight and hood are complete. This is a very nice Winchester that would make an excellent addition to your collection.
