S&W Model 29-3 Elmer Keith Commemorative fitted with a 4 inch barrel, red ramp front sight, white out-line adjustable rear sight, target hammer, target trigger, smooth service grips with S&W medallions, and is chambered in .44 Magnum. In addition these 1985 vintage Elmer Keith Commemorative Smith & Wesson Model 29's were embelished with "SMITH & WESSON / 44 Magnum" in gold on the left side of the barrel; the right "ELMER KEITH COMMEMORATIVE," "44 MAGNUM", and "1899-1984" in gold in a banner. The left side of the frame is stamped with S&W's monogram logo. "1 OF 2,500" is embelished in gold under the cylinder on the left. The right is marked with the four-line Marcas registradas. The right side plate is embelished with a portrait of Elmer Keith and his signature in gold. The cylinder is embelished "1ST" "OUTSTANDING / HANDGUNNER" and "SALMON / IDAHO" in gold, meant to be displayed on the right, and "HELL I WAS / THERE" and "SIXGUNS". This Model 29 is #EMK0372 of 2500 and comes with a cardboard S&W box, a rosewood (?) presentation case with plaque, cleaning kit, instructions manual, advertisement pamphlet, and shipping box (does not number to the gun).
