This is a Lend-Lease revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor. The revolver has retained 80-85% thinning original parkerizing, and bright gray metal on the balance, except for some freckled brown metal along the topstrap where the US property markings were removed. The "GHD" inspection stamp is still present on the toe of the butt, however. The hammer and trigger retain a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening that blends with a mottled gray patina on the balance. The smooth walnut grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are in very good shape with numerous small handling marks and surface blemishes throughout. Additionally, there some small chips at the butt and a series of small peen marks in the wood at the heel. The lock-up is still tight, and the action is fully functional. This is a very good-fine example of a Lend-Lease S&W, and would make a nice addition to a collection of WW2 British handguns.
