Description:
This Pre ‘64 Model 70 bolt action rifle has been reconditioned and lightly customized by gunsmith Freddy Brunner. The barreled action retains 98% plus restored blue finish with the barrel polished and the receiver and bottom metal in a matching satin finish. The 24inch round Winchester barrel has a bright excellent bore. The Receiver has three neatly filled holes with the Winchester trademark re-engraved on the left-side, no doubt the result of removing what was a Griffin & Howe scope mount. Additionally the tang has been lengthened and reshaped. The original Winchester stock was refinished with the checkering neatly chased and a 1 inch ventilated White Line recoil pad added for a 14 1/8 inch length of pull. Features Brunner’s signature checkered panel on the bolt release. Factory swivels and original sights remain in place.
