This is a vintage Lyman Tang Sight for a Winchester Model 1885 rifle. It has the large aperture disc. It comes with the original mounting screws. The mounting screws are correct for a straight grip high wall rifle. I removed this sight from a 1905 vintage Winchester High Wall Rifle because I wanted to restore the rifle to the original configuration that it was in when it left the Winchester factory. This sight will work with all Winchester Model 1885 rifles and many other Winchester lever action rifles. Center to Center mounting hole spacing is 2.182 inches. The last photo shows this sight on my high wall rifle. The rifle is not included in this sale.
This sight is in very good condition. It has a few small nicks and scratches but overall it looks and works great. There is no application code letters on the underside of the base. There has been some sanding on the under side of the base. The photos show the condition well.
