he Springfield Armory® 1911 Range Officer® Semi-Auto Pistol is a full-size 1911, with additional upgrades and specialized features that set it apart from other 1911s in its price range. The Range Officer features a 5", match-grade, stainless steel barrel with a fully supported feed ramp. An aluminum, match-grade trigger and a fully adjustable, target rear sight with a dovetailed, serrated, semi-post front sight allows shooters to obtain the pistol's maximum accuracy potential. The main frame and slide are constructed of forged carbon steel, and feature a non-reflective, Parkerized finish. The pistol utilizes an extended beavertail grip safety with a pronounced memory bump to ensure positive engagement; and a flat, checkered mainspring housing and checkered, cocobolo grip panels provide a solid hold. An extended thumb safety is easily reached when time is of essence. .45 ACP
