A wonderful, full sized French semi automatic pistol made during the 1950s in 9mmP with production estimated at just 1500. Single action, with an unusual delaying mechanism that allows the barrel to travel for a few millimeters rearward before the slide continues on its full rearward travel. Fixed front sight, and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of pistol marked by manufacturer and Model R. The right side of the slide shows this pistol having been imported by WAC (Western Arms Corporation). Serial number on right side of frame. Ruggedly checkered black plastic grips. Rotatable lanyard ring. Push button magazine release. Single column magazine with 2 vertical indicator slots on left side and fixed base. Synopsis: A wonderful and unsual full sized French pistol from 75 years ago, nearly new, with just an estimated 1500 ever produced! Condition: Excellent+ with just minimal sharp edge wear. Comparable condition grips, though the right pannel has a hairline crack above the upper screw. Mirror bright bore, perfect manula mechanics.
