Savage - Model 99 - .308 cal. - Stk# C438
This Savage Model 99 Mfg. 1957 has a blued 22” round barrel chambered in .308 cal. The bore is in very good condition. The barrel is mounted with a ramped dovetailed front blade sight and a Williams adjustable rear receiver sight. The receiver has been drilled and tapped for a scope mount. The action is smooth and locks up tight. The bolt has been jeweled. The bluing on this rifle is in good condition with the exception of a few worn spots along with some numbers and a name scratched into the bottom of the receiver. The lever has been color cased hardened. The checkered Walnut forend and buttstock are in very good condition with minor usage marks. It has the original steel butt plate. Overall Condition is very good. Length of pull is 13-1/4”, overall length is 41-1/2”, and weight is 6.6lbs.
