Sako Model L46 in 22 Hornet, Manufactured from 1946 to 1952.
Rifle is mechanically great, with a few bumps and dings, after all it is at least 71 YEARS OLD!!
Really cannot find any real wear, no abuse, gun has been kept clean, there is some tarnish on trigger guard,
fore end cap, and the bolt, again 71 years. A few weee pits on bolt face where primer sealant or pocket dirt
may have set for a while.
Single Stage Trigger is a bit heavy, hence marks on trigger where a shoe had been installed
Barrel is excellent, looking with borescope cannot see ANY fire cracking in the leade,
time to get this rifle out to the field, loaded with
some 40 grain Vmax or some 45 grain Hornet bullets and
dispatch a lot of squirrels, prairie dogs, Marmota Flaviventris and Nutria Rat to The Great Beyond!!
