Description:
Doc Holliday's "Very Cosmopolitan!" Pistol Emporium is pleased to offer this dandy:
  • Big-bore .44 Special caliber
  • Close to century old
  • Beautifully re-finished nickel
Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model six-shooter.

Please see the book titled: "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" 4th Edition published 2016, specifically page#s: 184, 186, 187, 488 & 523.

"The .44 caliber has always been S&W's first choice in full size service revolvers. All of the big .44s seem to have a special appeal for collectors."

Only 17,510 of the .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model revolvers were manufactured by Smith & Wesson in the 25-years between 1915 & 1940 (~700 per year). A fraction of which featured the premium nickel finish.

Nice nickel finish examples are scarce nowadays and, consequently, are worth more than the standard blue finish versions.

This shiny, 5-screw sixgun (Serial#21552) was manufactured between 1924 & 1925.

It's between 98 & 99-years old!

Serial number 21552 matching on butt, rear cylinder face, back side of ejector star and barrel

Timing is correct and the (double & single) action lock-up is smooth and tight.

The bore is clean with visible rifling.

The recoil shield and forcing cone are clean.

The hammer nose/firing pin and bushing are in good condition.

The screw heads are in minty condition.

The cylinder turn line is barely visible.

Checkered walnut diamond grips with S&W medallions are in nice condition for their age.

This near century old S&W six-shooter is in amazing condition!

Doc Holliday says it's a "peach of a hand" gun and it's new owner will be as proud as a game rooster to add this centenarian S&W sixgun to his or her collection.

It's a daisy!

Thanks for your consideration.
