This Winchester is in excellent condition and has been a \"Safe Queen\" for many many years. NO RUST, very few marks to the metal, shiny bore in excellent condition, smooth action, all original and matching serial numbers, original butt plate, beaded front sight, 30\" barrel, walnut stock in near mint condition with NO CRACKS and very few blemishes to the wood. I have seen more recent NIB production firearms come out of a box with more blemishes than this antique. A solid frame, plain pistol grip stock and ribbed forearm. Known for the hammer \"slam fire\" used throughout WWI and WWII, this shotgun is highly desirable and reliable. Full choke barrel chambered in 2.75\". All appropriate \"WP\" Winchester Proof markings, inspector stamp \"JU\" on trigger guard, and left barrel markings \"MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA -- WINCHESTER TRADE MARK -- MODEL 97 -- 12 GA. -- 2 3/4 CHAM FULL\".
