Rare L.C. Smith Grade 2 8ga! These guns are almost never offered for sale because they are rare and hard to find. These rarely change hands! This gun made with 32" Damascuc barrels, splinter forend, double triggers, extractors. The casehardened frame is lightly scroll engraved in early Grade 2 pattern. Capped pistol grip buttstock with two point pattern checkering and the stock terminates with a modern silver's type pad.
Overall the gun remains in nice condition. The barrels have toned brown with some of the original pattern remaining. The action retains about 30% original case color as seen in the photos. The stocks are very good with some minor repairs evident and checkering renewed long ago. The pad is a professionally fit modern replacement. Bores are very good with some orange peel in the right, left being a bit brighter. Mechanics are very good. Gun is tight when assembled. This is really a clean example!
