"Unmarked U.S. 1808 contract musket. 42" Round .69 caliber smoothbore barrel with a fair bore. Metal has an even brown patina. Stock is good with a small old chip at the rear band and a couple of small age cracks. The swivels are absent. Ramrod is a 17½" replacement. Action functions correctly. Comes with a bayonet which does not properly fit and is in relic condition. These totally unmarked musket are an interesting variation of the U.S. 1808 contract musket.
