Description:
This beautiful Dakota 76 was custom built for Hendershots Sporting Goods. The serial number is HSG76FS-004, which stands for Hendershots Sporting Goods model 76 Full Stock, gun 4 of 6 made. This gun was spec'd by Lance Hendershot and he told me it sold for over $11,000 new. It is chambered in 7mm-08 and has a 20" barrel. The mannlicher stock is checkered 22 LPI and includes a beaded cheekpiece, a fully inletted/checkered grip gap, an inletted Niedner style steel buttplate and fully inletted sling swivel studs. The barrel is 20" and includes a quarter rib rear sight and a hooded front sight. The english walnut is nicely figured but has a few handling marks (see photos). It includes Talley scope bases. I have owned this gun for many years and it has never been out of my gun safe.
