Browning produced 100 of these ‘rare birds’ to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Quail unlimited series. Manufactured in Belgium in 1996 only 25 were made to grade V standard, this is No 20 of 100 it is unfired and has its original Factory box and case.
This Browning A5 sn161QU96020 20ga features the desirable long tang round knob configuration. It is finished in Browning’s silver nitride coin finish and highlights four dog portraits in inlaid golden ovals displaying a German Shorthaired Pointer, a Brittany, an English Springer Spaniel, and an English Pointer against a gray background. The receiver hump bears the banner ‘Quail Unlimited Edition- One of one Hundred’ and presents a golden Quail in flight. The rear of the receiver is engraved 20/100. The right hand side of the receiver has the banner ‘Gun Dog Series’ engraved in gold. The wood shows exceptional fiddleback on both sides of the stock with heavy mineral streaks, the wood is protected by a satin hand rubbed oiled finish.
