Here we present a C&R Finnish Captured Soviet Russia Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 Rifle, made circa 1937 at the Izhevsk Arsenal.
This specimen is dated “1937” and marked numerous inspection marks including the boxed “SA” of the Finns. It is chambered in the 7.62x54R cartridge, with a magazine capacity of 5. This one has the Finnish replacement 2 piece stock, which is very strong.
The overall condition is very good. Armory refinish. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The bore at the muzzle is counterbored about 3/8”. The stock is solid with some nice grain. The numbers match with the exception of the butt plate. A great piece!
