Description:
This is about as nice of a 40+ Year Old Colt Dragoon Reproduction as you'll find. It's a 3rd Model Dragoon, early F Series 2nd Generation that was made around 1980. Serial number is in the 30,000 range with the original black box that is numbered to the gun. It is unfired and the cylinder does not look turned...no wear on the stops or drag line. In fact, there isn't even wear on the face of the cylinder. It's just been sitting in the box. The brass had a little green vertige beginning to form which easily rubbed off. Frame, hammer, loading lever have all of the bright case color with nicely blued barrel and cylinder. Walnut grips look perfect. Box is in Very Good condition with no tears. Note that the manual sealed onto the inner lid of the box is for the Colt 1860 Army...it appears the factory put some type of adhesive over it but it is peaking through after all these years. The manuals were basically the same anyway but it is kind of comical and being sealed...we know who did it...COLT. Since this is Percussion, it qualifies as an Antique under Federal Law.
