Description:
Standard 20 inch carbine configuration chambered in the desirable 44-40 caliber. Bore is a little rough but still has visible rifling. It could use a good cleaning. All metal surfaces are a gray/brown patina. Sights include a carbine blade front and an "1873" marked folding ladder carbine rear. Barrel address is visible. Original saddle ring. Action functions correctly. Safety notch does not hold. Walnut stocks are in good condition but doe show several dings and abrasions. Also a "CRC" on the left side of the buttstock. This carbine has that old Western look to it. Made in 1890 and would make for a good Cowboy Action gun.
