Here's a Excellent Example of a Colt SAA U.S. Calvary ! Serial number 47,640 . Shipped on September 24, 1878. Went to U.S. Government Inspector at the Colt Plant . Inspected by Henry Nettleton! Nettleton inspected guns for a very short period of time ! Comes with a Colt Factory Letter . Gun is 100 percent Original and all matching numbers. Except for the checking on the Original Grips ! Most likely done in the period! Metal on barrel has turned a blue plum patina. Frame has turned a Smokey patina. Original Walnut Wood grips fit proud to the metal . Bore and mechanics are excellent! Gun locks up tight and is in working order . Gun has all the correct clicks! Super Nice U.S . Cavalry Colt SAA !
