Description:
Based on the Smith & Wesson Model of 1917, The Brazilian Armed Forces contracted with S&W to produce 25,000 in 1937, shipped in 1938. This revolver was part of that first shipment. A second contract in 1946 consisted of 12,000 revolvers The revolver presented here has been reblued and has had the Brazilian Crest almost totally obliterated. There is some moderate cylinder end shake that can be corrected. An experienced gunsmith should go through this revolver before shooting. .45 ACP

Metal Condition: Shows a reblue with excess buffing and remaining pits on the barrel. Subsequent blue wear at the sharp edges. Barrel pin has been replaced with shorter version. The lanyard ring is missing.
Wood Condition: The grips are well-worn and carry marks and wear at the edges
Bore Condition: Rifling is good and bore is bright
