Description:
Serial #240288, .22 LR, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor, with the metal retaining 92-95% of the original blue finish that has some silvering at the muzzle, along the high and projecting edges, and some mild mild surface oxidation where the barrel meets the frame. The cylinder has a light turn-ring, and the hammer and trigger retain much of the original color case-hardening, with some gray fading and silvering at the edges. The original adjustable target rear sight is still in place, and a King front sight blade has been fitted. The checkered, target grips are faintly pencil-numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in fine shape with only some minor handling marks, and some flattening of the points on either side. The lock-up is still tight, and the action is fully functional. This is an about fine example of a "Bekeart" type S&W, and would make a great addition to a collection. FFL or C&R
