Description:
This is truly a unique 20 gauge pump (slide action) shotgun. This is the latest and most improved version of this particular model. This latest version has the crossbolt safety that was required by the USA War Department in their WW ll "Speck" sheets for shotguns made for the military. The takedown feature is a prime example of John Browning's pure genius! The problem was that it was so intricate that it could not be reproduced by modern cost cutting manufacturing. The problem with this particular model was that it was large enough to be used for 12 and 16 gauge guns and therefor a bit clunky and heavy for a 20 gauge that demanded a smaller quicker handling shotgun. A scaled down much sweeter version for the 20 gauge was added to the line and produced in the last 10 years of manufacture. This is one of those petite 20 gauge versions and has ended up being less that 5% of the models total production. It is argued by some that this gun functions faster and smother than the Remington 870 in 20 gauge. The condition of this little 20 gauge is quite nice which is shown in the photos. The barrel is 28 inches, choked full and the bore is excellent. Freight is $45.00 which is highway robbery by the freight companies cashing in on the COVID opportunity.
