GOLD RUSH ERA WILLIAM W. MARSTON BELT MODEL PERCUSSION PEPPERBOX REVOLVER DATED 1849. 3 ½” ribbed six shot .31 caliber barrels stamped “SPRAGUE & MARSTON” and “NEW YORK”. Hammer stamped on top “W.W. MARSTON” and on the side “PATENTED 1849”. Very good and all original with original deep patina on the floral engraved frame and barrels with traces of original finish evenly mixed. Walnut grips in good condition with original varnish. Right flat with old barely visible hairline. Working order and good bores. Nice looking example of this California Gold Rush 49er Pepperbox.
