Bagwell knife comes in the form of a unique and historic original "Hell's Belle"Presentation Gentleman Bowie Knife from 1972. Engraving by Master Engraver the late great E. C. Prudhomme,(1911-1990 ) mounts, guard, escutcheon, pommel. Blade marked on right side with the rare "B" initial at the ricasso. Ten-and-a quarter clipped point blade by 1-7/8-inch wide, from 1/4-inch 1040 steel stock, 14-7/8-inches overall length, denotes a brightly mirror polished finish, and a sharpened false edge, fancy "S" shaped brass crossguard, large oblong escutcheon embedded in the American walnut grip, brass butt cap. This is a high-grade exhibition museum caliber item. Condition is mint. No sheath was ever made for this knife. A photocopy of catalog # 2 comes with the knife. This is a FINAL sale.
