Description:
Reduced! WInchester Post 64 Model 70 "Classic Stainless" in .270 Winchester. Controlled round action, floorplate, 24" barrel, and a very rare Factory McMillan composite stock. Has factory WInchester butt pad. Very nice overall condition. Shows little wear, nor has it been shot very much. Winchester New Haven quality. I have a factory box, marked Classic Stainless, with a Controlled round tag inside, marked for .270 Winchester, but NO serial number is on the box. I sure thought it was the factory box, but I don't know. I have not owned another Classic Stainless in .270. Really a nice Mountain rifle, or do most anything in North America rifle. This is a LOT more rifle than today's darling the 6.5 Creedmore, which is wonderful, just not as effective for larger animals as is our vaunted .270 Winchester. Thanks for your interest.
