Presented here is a U.S. Savage Enfield No.4 MK1* chambered in .303 British. This fine World War 2 rifle was manufactured in 1943 and is in great condition overall. The factory finish on this rifle remains in excellent condition, showing only light finish wear in places. All the factory and arsenal markings are visible, and all the numbered parts match. The bore is excellent, bright, and clean with sharp rifling visible throughout the barrel but does have a light import mark near the muzzle. The stock set is in great overall condition and is free from any major damage. The stock set matches itself well in color and only shows various handling marks and wear consistent with the rest of the rifle. The action on this Enfield is slick and precise, and the bolt turns into battery perfectly without any grit or slop. All of the controls on this No.4 Mk.1* are in perfect working order, and the rifle should function 100% like the day it left the factory in 1943. This U.S. Savage No.4 Mk.1* comes complete with a 1971-dated military sling. This No.4 Mk.1* would be an excellent addition to any military weapons or WW2 weapons collection.
