This is a Francotte "Medium" grade shotgun
Serial Number 22693
Manufactured in Liege, Belgium, 1894
It has double triggers, and has an extractor. Firing pins are strong and have good projection
*Note* The break action lever return spring is broken as the lever has to be manually centered after opening.
You should have this shotgun examined and/or repaired by a comptetent gunsmith prior to use.
Made in 1894, it is Black Powder proofed only, without signs of any nitro proof marks.
Comes with 30" Damascus barrels, black powder only, and likely for 2 1/2" or 2 5/8 shells.
Shotgun has a 13 1/2 length of pull, and a badly damaged buttplate.
Barrels are choked, 17.6mm/extra full choke, and 18.0mm/ modified choke.
Barrel bores are shiny, with no signs of denting, rust or pitting.
The wood is overall in good condition, without signs of craks, splits or repairs.
The checkering points are worn, but are quite distinct and in good condition.
The left damascus barrel has some mild roughness along the side likely due to mild corrosion, however the fine damascus patterning is quite clear and evident on both barrels.
The action locks up tight, without play, and the forend wood fits snugly, without any play or looseness.
The stock is straight without cast.
