Description:
This is a rack grade Plus Rebuild Vetted by the Civilian Marksmanship program (CMP) M1 Garand battle rifle. This rifle features a Springfield Armory made receiver and very good barrel dated 4-52. Barrel has a shiny bore with some duskiness in the lands the last about three inches from the muzzle. Barrel muzzle measures .15 (out of 5) at the muzzle and a 2 at the throat. The stock is like new with a few light handling scratches and is a CMP replacement stock with a CMP cartouche on left side of the stock. below the reciever. No rust. Some checked old corrosion marks on the HRA trigger housing group castings. WRA marked bolt. IHC operating rod. Functions and shoots fine.
The M1 Garand was called “the greatest battle implement ever devised” by General George S. Patton. It was a truly revolutionary piece of American equipment during WWII and continued its faithful service through the Korean War.
This is a very nicely preserved piece of American military history. There is a certificate of authenticity, instructions and one 8-round Enbloc clip included.
