***SOLD***Colt Lightning Medium Frame .38-40 caliber slide action rifle, dated to 1888. This is a genuine antique Colt rifle, and features the iconic Lightning slide action tube-fed mechanism, original walnut stock and checkered forend, as well as the original blued finish showing through on much of the receiver and barrel. Minor scratches and small dings can be seen, as well as areas of finish wear, excellent shape for a 133 year old rifle. The action is fully functional with smooth operation and tight lockup, and the bore is in excellent condition with nice rifling, and only small shallow dark spots. Please refer to the photos for overall condition. This particular Colt Lightning is in high condition considering its age, and it would make a wonderful addition to any Colt lovers collection!
