Description:
This is the Civil War production Starr patent calvary carbine. The serial number reads 33,867 and a clear tang mark with the Starr patent. Good overall original surface with 60 percent of the origial coloring. This one has a side saddle ring and it is a .54 caliber. The rear site is well-intacked. These rifles were used at the end of the Civil War and into the Inidan Wars by mounted calvary troops. Starr made guns, pistols and swords for the US government. Good clear Starr markings and date.
