Lock plate signed “H. NOCK” forward of hammer. Lock, barrel tang and brass trigger guard engraves with floral motifs. Trigger guard finial of Pineapple form also floral engraved. Brass ramrod pipes and rosewood rod with brass tip. Walnut stock with 1796 Pattern plain gag shaped grip. Excellent all original condition. Original untouched finish on metal with the original patina. Stock with the original finish as well. Lock with all the original lock parts and has all the original screws. Working order and good bore. Henry Nock was one of the most well known makers of his day and a Contractor to Royal Ordnance from 1777 as well as to the British East India Company for many years.
