Description:
This gun is pictured and documented in Gordan's book "Winchester's New Model of 1873 A Tribute" on pages 202 and 207 of Volume 1. Also comes with a factory letter addressed to Jim Gordon. Standard carbine configuration with 20 inch barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber. Bore has good rifling but light roughness throughout. Barrel and mag tube are a plum/brown color with about 25% thinning blue remaining. Original sights include an "1873" marked folding ladder rear. Receiver is a special order nickel finish and retains most all of that finish. Walnut stocks have very light handling mars with very good condition overall. Carbine style buttplate. Also includes 3 piece cleaning rods. Mechanics are fine.  It is a good looking 1873 SRC from 1885. .
