A Very Scarce And Early Civil War "Charriere, Paris" Made Boxed Field Medical Amputation Set In Excellent Complete Condition. All original and complete. The set has all of its components inside it. The top inside the lid folds down to expose the amputation saw and probe tools. They are all in fine to excellent condition. Most of the pieces are all marked "CHARRIERE, PARIS". The tendon cutting pliers appear to have been period replaced during the civil war. This happened often in battle. The original French Contoured Box is excellent throughout with a wonderful grain to the wood. It has brass corners on it, and a fold up brass carry handle. The red lining is excellent. It closes tightly and is not warped. This Is A Very Early And Very Fine Civil War Complete Field Medical Amputation Kit In Its Original Box. It is fresh Out Of A Very Old Collection. These Complete Sets Are Very Hard To Come By In This Condition!
