Description:
***SOLD*** This is a great N-frame Model 28-2, 357 magnum revolver, manufactured in 1975. It has a pinned barrel and a 6-round recessed cylinder. The bore is clean and shiny without pitting, and the timing and lock-up are excellent. The stocks are in excellent condition and are period correct, but are not numbered to the gun. The screws are all clean and unadultered. The bluing shows some light usage marks and occasional spotting, as well as a cylinder turn ring, but there are no significant scratches or abrasions. I have provided high resolution pictures that give an overall overview of the condition of the revolver. If you would like any additional pictures, or have any questions, please contact me.

This is a classic S&W Model 28-2 in very good condition for an almost 50 year-old gun and a great shooter and PRICED TO SELL!

"Introduced in early 1954, the big double-action duty revolver was based on Smith's popular N-framed Model 27 but with a "working" finish designed to be more practical than attractive with a dull matte blue finish being standard. The guns proved popular not only with law enforcement-- special models were made for the Texas Department of Public Safety as well as the Florida and Washington State Highway Patrol-- but also with hunters who picked up the guns as a dependable sidearm for use in bear country, bowling pin match shooters and many looking for a rock-solid home defense tool. The Model 28 was in production from 1954 through 1986.
