These were manufactured in the early 80s and this one's barrel code (PE) points to 1984. It features a workhorse hardwood stock, good barrel, and is ready for scope mounting. These guns were made for hunting and were arguably the third most used deer rifles in North America, beaten only by the iconic Marlin and Winchester .30-30's. .30-06 Springfield
