Here is a Colt Officers 1911 45 ACP Customized by CT Brian and Don Williams for Louder Than Words LTW as a Team Build gun. From what we can research the build was about 2008 and originally sold in Feb 2009.
The firearm was first obtained from the original owner who passed away by the estate we are listing it for. The estate we are listing it for has an email from CT Brian in 2011 who recognized the piece. Tim says Don Williams from The Action Works did the upper and CT Brian did the lower. There is work characteristic from both. Don's slide work and sights are there (there is a Don Williams piece also listed where you can compare). CT Brian.s checkering and beavertail style is also evident.

Here is the second Team Gun of 2008 offered for sale. As Jason pointed out in an earlier post, the sale of these Team Guns is what helps to make LTWpossible. This one was built by CT Brian and myself, and is on a Colt 1991-A1 Compact (Officers ACP) that was generously given to LTW by one of our members.
Remember, these Team Guns are probably one of the only chance's you'll have to purchase a gun worked on by two or more LTW 'Smiths.
CT did the following extensive work on the lower half:
- CT's Hybrid checkering on the frontstrap
- Hybrid checkering on the VZ alloy mainspring housing
- Smooth and contour Wilson barstock mag release
- Completely detail lower half
- Bevel magazine well
- Barstock Wildon thumb safety
- Barstock Wilson beavertail fitted
- Aluminum match trigger with Trigger job 4.25 Lb.
- Commander style hammer
- Finished off with a set Of John VZ's terrific 320EMP grips
On the upper half, I started out by having Chuck Rogers surface grind off the giant rollmarks and then:
- Flattened and serrated the top of the slide with center stripe
- Installed Morris Custom rear with widened notch and Heinie front sights
- Fitted EGW barrel bushing and re-crowned the barrel at 45 degrees
- Installed one piece guide rod with reverse plug
- Reliability package on the upper half
- Cut wide French Border on the slide
- Flare ejection port
- Detail and de-horn upper half
- And blueing by Heirloom Precision

Listed as USED as this came from one of five (5) estates of an FFL/SOT Gun Smith, Gun Store that closed the store front and is selling on line or is out of business. This is or was inventory.
